T-182 : Ping Thing
I have in my head that to "ping" someone means to contact them. In other words, "ping" is the larger umbrella under which falls "call", "text", "IM", "email", etc. I can't find any evidence, though, to back me up. I told Tara the other day to "ping" me sometime during the day; then proceeded to explain what I meant. Then next day she said that she would "bing" me. Is it conceivable that "ping" is a word that I think means something that it doesn't mean?

Yep, I'll "bing" you. That was pretty funny!
Bing Bong!
I thought "ping" had something to do with sonar. You should look it up on the wikipedia. OR maybe it's just one half of the game ping pong.
