On a recent trip to Portland I made my way to the temple. I was impressed by the steeples. They were probably more pronounced because the building itself is so surrounded by tall, green trees. Steeples are a common element of religious architecture worldwide and are generally viewed as attempts to reach skyward toward heavens and the divine. Do you have a favorite steeple? Does viewing steeples remind you of reaching skyward toward the divine?

I think living Utah with so many steeples, I have become immune to them.
