You don't say..."tired"
Don’t say: “You look tired.”
Why: It implies the person doesn't look good.
Instead say: “Is everything OK?” We often blurt the “tired” comment when we get the sense that the other person feels out of sorts. So just ask.
This is one more in the line of thoughts I'm posting not as preaching to anyone more than myself. This is one more thing I need to work on; proper language. Do you agree with the "instead"?

No, the "instead" is worse than the "tired". It implies that the other person must think that something is wrong with you emotionally which is a lot more annoying than someone thinking you are tired.
Try "how are you doing?"
